Bio:
Sandra Joseph has performed for millions starring in one of the best-known female roles in Broadway history: Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera. She played the role for a decade on Broadway and all across the country to critical acclaim. Sandra has the distinct honor of being Phantom‘s leading lady on Broadway longer than any other actress in the show’s quarter-of-a-century history.
Sandra’s inspirational personal story has brought her to the attention of national media. She has been seen on The Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN, The Today Show, The Early Show, Dateline, and The View.
Television acting credits include appearances on Law and Order, Law and Order Criminal Intent, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, One Life to Live, and As the World Turns.
While Sandra continues to perform on stages across the country, her newest starring roles include teacher, writer, and speaker. Her mission of inspiring people to find their authentic voice has brought her to an entirely new set of stages, including the nation’s leading personal growth learning center, New York’s Omega Institute as well as corporate seminars on leadership and communication.
Sandra was recently chosen as the 2012 season finale interviewee for WISH: The Women’s International Summit for Health. This summer, she will perform as part of Sounds True Publishing‘s Wake Up Festival alongside spiritual luminaries Jack Kornfield, Caroline Myss, Michael Bernard Beckwith, and Mark Nepo to name a few.
As a performance coach, workshop leader, and professional speaker, Sandra is passionate about inspiring others to bring their inner voice to the outer world in a powerful and authentic way. She is currently working toward that goal herself as she writes her first book.
Sandra is married to her one-time Phantom co-star, actor Ron Bohmer. The two still perform together frequently but are happiest when hanging out on the back deck of their West Orange, New Jersey townhouse with their two adopted mutts, Griffin and Murphy.
“Sandra Joseph is not only a gifted artist on the page and on the stage, she’s also an enormous soul with messages that will uplift you, guide you, and give you ideas that will change your life in all the right ways.”
